EXAM DETAILS

Features of our Junior Maths Olympiad Program are as follows.

a. JMO is conducted every year in the month of February.
b. To qualify for the JMO exam, every student from Std. 5th to 8th must score 50% or more marks in Maths Aptitude Test conducted in the month of August / September every year.

Maths Aptitude Test is conducted in 2 groups.

Primary Group : Std. 5th and 6th students.

Higher Primary Group : Std. 7th and 8th students.

Question paper consists of 50 Multiple Choice Questions.

Each question carries 4 options of which only one is correct.

Each question carries two marks. There is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted questions. Maximum marks are 100.

First 45 questions are of easy to moderate level of difficulty.

Last 5 questions are of a higher level of difficulty.

Time duration is 2 hours.

Medium of examination is English.

Junior Maths Olympiad is conducted in 2 groups.

Primary Group : Std. 5th and 6th students.

Higher Primary Group : Std. 7th and 8th students.

Question paper consists of 13 questions and is of Subjective type.

Q. 1 to 5 carry 6 marks each.

Q. 6 to 10 carry 8 marks each.

Q. 11 to 13 carry 10 marks each.

Space is provided below each question to write the answer in detail. Extra pages are provided for the rough work at the end.

More importance is given to the logical approach followed by students while assessing the answer.
