Group I -
Std. V and VI
Study of Numbers, Basic Operations of Numbers, Even Odd Prime and Composite Numbers, Tests of Divisibility, G. C. D. and L. C. M., Fractions, Decimal Fractions, Metric Measures Roman Numerals, Time, Equality and Use of Letters, Calender, Simplification of Expression, Unitary Method, Perimeter and Area, Profit & Loss, Percentage.
Group II -
Std. VII and VIII
Operations on Numbers, H. C. F. / G. C. D. and L. C. M. of Numbers, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Average, Distance, Speed, Time, Time & Work, Square roots & Cube & Cube roots, Indices, Algebraic Expressions, Lines and Angles, Tringles, Pythagoras Theorem, Area, Volume & SurfaceArea, Circle-Chords & Tangent, Polygon.
 
Pattern -
  1. Easy- First 45 questions.
  2. High difficulty - Last 5 Questions. Type of non-routine or tough.
         Overall we can say about MAT paper as it is very easy get through, but not easy to score 100% marks and thus really tests candidates aptitude.

         Each question carries two marks, so 50*2=100 (Total Marks). All questions objective (MCQ) with options. Separate Answer sheet to write answers


       If you Score 50% or more then you will be selected for next level contest viz. JMO (Junior Maths Olyampiad)
 
 
Syllabus for JMO -
Group I -
Std. V and VI
Divisibility, Prime Numbers, Some special Numbers Cryptarithmatic, Permutations(FPC), Number of Different Bases, Series and Sequences, Magic Squares Logic, Basic Concept of Geometry.
Group II -
Std. VII and VIII
Divisibility (Euclidian Algorithm, Important Theorems), Modular Arithmetic (Concept of Congruence, applications Wilson Theorem, Eular Theorem), Equations (Quadratic, Infinite solutions, Miscellaneous), Set, Relations and Function (Basic), Combinatory (Permutation and Combination), Sequences and Series (A.P., G.P., H.P., A.M., G.M. & H.M.), Geometry Part-I(Geometry of St. lines & Triangles, Similar Triangles etc., In Circle, Circumcircle), Geometry Part-II(Geometry of Circles, Tangents, Cyclic Quadrilaterals) .
 
Pattern -
  1. In Question Paper there are no objective questions; you have to write stepwise answer of each question.
  2. There will be 10 to 12 questions totally.
  3. Question paper & answersheet together. Space is provided below each question to write steps.
  4. For rough work purpose, blank pages are attached or space will be provided.
